Trust Issues

Rage platformer

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 13, 2026 · applies to Trust Issues from version 1.0

Summary

Trust Issues needs no user account, no email address and no password. There is no server of our own and no analytics. Your save lives only on your iPhone.

You only see ads when you start them yourself: a video in exchange for 5 lives when you have run out. There are no ads that interrupt the game and no banners. Before showing personalised ads we ask for your permission — through Google's consent dialog and Apple's tracking prompt.

No data protection officer has been appointed; the requirements of Art. 37 GDPR and § 38 BDSG are not met. For any privacy matter you can reach me directly using the details above.

2 · Data that never leaves your device

The app stores exactly the following on your device — this is the complete list, not a selection:

There is no identifier from us — no user ID, no device ID — and none of this is linked to you as a person. We do not transmit this data.

3 · Deleting your data

You do not need to send us a deletion request, and it would find nothing: we hold no data about you.

4 · Advertising (Google AdMob)

Provider for the European Economic Area: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Ads appear only when you start them yourself: when you have no lives left in a world, the "Keine Leben mehr" (out of lives) screen offers a video in exchange for 5 lives, at most three times per run through a world. There are no ads after a death, between levels or on restart, and no banners. Google's ad SDK starts 90 seconds after the app launches at the earliest, or earlier if you tap "Werbung: +5 Leben" (ad: +5 lives) before then.

To deliver and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google processes among other things:

Google may also use this data across apps to build a profile. That is exactly why we ask first. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); without it Google shows only non-personalised ads.

You can withdraw your consent at any time, without giving reasons: via "Werbe-Einwilligung ändern" (change ad consent) in the game's settings. You change Apple's tracking permission under iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Withdrawal takes effect from that moment; processing carried out before remains lawful.

More information: Google's privacy policy, "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services" and Google's frameworks for data transfers.

5 · Permissions

The only prompt is Apple's tracking dialog, which belongs to advertising (section 4). The app sends no notifications and does not ask for access to location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera.

After you finish your first world the app asks once for a rating through Apple's rating dialog. Whether and when the dialog appears is decided by iOS; a rating goes to Apple, not to us.

6 · If you write to us

If you email the address above, we process your email address and the content of your message in order to answer it (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in responding to enquiries). The mailbox provider is Google; the message is kept for as long as it is needed for follow-up questions and is deleted afterwards.

7 · This website

These pages are hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.). When you visit, your browser transmits technically necessary data — IP address, time, page requested, user agent — which GitHub processes in server logs. We set no cookies on these pages, embed no third-party fonts or scripts, and run no analytics.

8 · What we do not do

Trust Issues has no server of its own, no account, no in-app purchases, no Game Center and no analytics or crash-reporting service. We ourselves collect no personal data, share none and sell none. What Google processes for advertising is set out in section 4.

9 · Your rights

You have the rights set out in Art. 15 to 21 GDPR: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Ours is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.

In practice these rights here concern only an email you may have sent us (section 6). We cannot give you information about your save because we do not have it — it is on your device, and only there.

10 · Children

The game does not ask for an age, collects no data itself, and offers no way to contact other people. It contains optional advertising (section 4); this is declared in the App Store age rating.

11 · Changes to this policy

We update this policy when the processing changes — for instance because a service is added. The date above shows the current version.
