Torque needs no user account, no email address and no password. There is no server of our own and no analytics. Your save lives only on your iPhone.
You only see ads when you start them yourself: a video in exchange for an in-game boost. There are no ads that interrupt the game and no banners. Before showing personalised ads we ask for your permission — through Google's consent dialog and Apple's tracking prompt.
If you are signed in to Game Center, the game sends your best scores to Apple's leaderboards. Notifications only if you allow them.

No data protection officer has been appointed; the requirements of Art. 37 GDPR and § 38 BDSG are not met. For any privacy matter you can reach me directly using the details above.
The app stores exactly the following on your device — this is the complete list, not a selection:
There is no identifier from us — no user ID, no device ID — and none of this is linked to you as a person. We do not transmit this data.
"Export" in the settings copies your save as text to the clipboard. Where you paste it is up to you; "Import" reads it back from there. The app only reads the clipboard when you tap "Import".
You do not need to send us a deletion request, and it would find nothing: we hold no data about you.
Provider for the European Economic Area: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
Ads appear only when you start them yourself: as a video in exchange for an in-game reward (double speed for a few hours, extra overtime or a doubled order reward), at most 20 times a day. There are no ads between game sections and no banners. Google's ad SDK starts after 90 seconds of play at the earliest, or earlier if you open an ad offer before then.
To deliver and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google processes among other things:
Google may also use this data across apps to build a profile. That is exactly why we ask first. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); without it Google shows only non-personalised ads.
You can withdraw your consent at any time, without giving reasons: via "Ad consent" in the game's settings. You change Apple's tracking permission under iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Withdrawal takes effect from that moment; processing carried out before remains lawful.

At launch the game signs in to Apple's Game Center if you are signed in to Game Center on your iPhone. It then sends your best scores to Apple's leaderboards: highest number of revolutions, number of achievements, fastest time to the load limit, time to victory, most patents, most capital, highest company value and number of hardenings. Other players see these scores together with your Game Center name.
Game Center is a service provided by Apple; Apple's privacy policy applies. We receive no data about you. If you do not want this, sign out of Game Center in iOS Settings; the game works fully without it, only the leaderboards are missing.
After your first retool the app asks whether it may send notifications — for instance when retooling pays off, when a boost has run out, or after a three-day break. These notifications are scheduled on your device, not sent from a server. You can switch them off one by one in the game's settings, or entirely in iOS Settings.
The only other prompt is Apple's tracking dialog, which belongs to advertising (section 4). The app does not ask for access to location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera.
If you email the address above, we process your email address and the content of your message in order to answer it (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in responding to enquiries). The mailbox provider is Google; the message is kept for as long as it is needed for follow-up questions and is deleted afterwards.
These pages are hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.). When you visit, your browser transmits technically necessary data — IP address, time, page requested, user agent — which GitHub processes in server logs. We set no cookies on these pages, embed no third-party fonts or scripts, and run no analytics.
Torque has no server of its own, no account, no in-app purchases and no analytics or crash-reporting service. We ourselves collect no personal data, share none and sell none. What Google processes for advertising is set out in section 4, what Apple processes through Game Center in section 5.
You have the rights set out in Art. 15 to 21 GDPR: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Ours is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
In practice these rights here concern only an email you may have sent us (section 7). We cannot give you information about your save because we do not have it — it is on your device, and only there.
The game is suitable for all ages. It does not ask for an age, collects no data itself, and offers no way to contact other people. It contains optional advertising (section 4); this is declared in the App Store age rating.
We update this policy when the processing changes — for instance because a service is added. The date above shows the current version.
